The Hawesville Mill has an opening for aQuality Coordinator. Reporting to the Fine Paper Mill (FPM) Quality Superintendent, this position will provide technical support to an assigned area including, but not limited to:

• The Quality Coordinator will do Process Monitoring, troubleshooting, & process optimization and address product quality impact.
• The Quality Coordinator will effectively interact with vendors & customers to improve mill operations and support operations as needed.
• TheQuality Coordinator willfunction asa coach, consultant, advisor, organizer, and subject matter expert on Lean, Change Management, andothersimilar Continuous Improvementtools andmethods.
• Conductcritical data analysis on process improvements and responsible for tracking and reportinglab datatrends as needed including calibrating and maintaining lab instruments.
• Update, monitor and maintainMill Quality Systems,includingclaimsinCARE system, QISspecificationssystem,andqualitypolicies&proceduresonSharePoint.
• Support paper machine management withGrade Development,by providing historicaldata,qualityspecificationsand engage withSales/Marketingwhen necessary.
• Engage with Quality Service Managers(claim investigations,customer inquiries andQuality self-assessments).
• Collaboratewith operations and leadershipon priorities for quality improvementsto become a reliable and credible resource.
• Providing on-call, after hours & weekend coverage
• Maintaining involvement & supporting safety on a mill-wide basis
• Maintaining & supporting environmental compliance
• Providing support to Technical & Production efforts during machine maintenance outages
• Providing strong leadership & supporting FPM goals

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree andthreeyearsmanufacturing experience.
• Good analytical, planning & organizational skills.
• Good verbal & written communication skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word applications
• Flexible & self-motivated.
• Willing and able to meet the demands of a 24/7 operation.
• A personal dedication to safety, including proactive support of efforts to create a culture of safety excellence.

Desired Qualifications

• 3-5years’ experience
• SAP experience
• Experience with QISandPARCView.

• Interest in the pulp and paper industry and building a developmental career with unlimited learning opportunities.

• Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
